YMC Panel Discussion

10:30AM- 11:30AM on Monday, April 11th, join us for an interactive panel discussion. The guest panelists (filmmakers and industry professionals) will discuss the film(s) you just watched and will talk about the craft of filmmaking and the various elements of film production. We’ll also discuss the creative industry and what students can expect in navigating the steps between high school and becoming a professional.

Meet Your Panelists!

Jenna Brown

Jenna Brown is currently a technical lead at Wildbrain Studios working on the recent release – Disney’s The Proud Family. Jenna has previously worked on productions such as Dorg Van Dango, My Little Pony: The Movie, and Snoopy in Space. Jenna previously worked as a compositor, rigger and more.

Goro Koyama

Goro Koyama has worked as a foley artist at Footsteps Studios in Uxbridge Ontario since 2000. After graduating from Confederation College in Thunder Bay Ontario, the wonderful world of sound and the analog process of foley captured his heart. He provided sound effects on such movies as: Dune (Academy Award Best Sound), Blade Runner 2049, Nightmare Alley, The Greatest Showman, Cloverfield, and the History series Vikings.

Toan Nguyen

Toan Nguyen grew up in Vancouver and has over 8 years of experience working in the animation industry. The roles he started with were compositing and effects on 2D animated shows and is currently working on 3D CG shows as a designer and motion graphics artist. He’s also a two time Emmy nominee.

Enid Suh

Enid is from Vancouver, BC and is currently working as an animator at ILM. She has worked on the films Space Jam 2, Sonic the Hedgehog and Detective Pikachu. She was always doodling as a kid and loved watching cartoons and movies, her favourite is Ratatouille. She studied at Animation Mentor and IAnimate and started her first job in the industry in 2018
