NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE

Trailer

Jacob is an imaginative young boy who dreams of being an architect, like his father. Naturally, he spends a lot of his time drawing up plans for buildings. Mimmi, his sassy cousin, has the inside scoop about everything in her small town, Maskachka. When Jacob’s dad goes away on a business trip, Jacob is stuck spending the whole week being bossed around by his cousin and her “ex-pirate” father, Eagle. As soon as Jacob arrives in sleepy Maskachka, he learns that the local park is slated to be transformed into a block of skyscrapers. Mimmi is devastated at the thought of losing the community’s green space. Without the park, Maskachka would be insufferable. Jacob and Mimmi aren’t alone; a local band of street dogs relies on the park too. With the help of these talking dogs, the cousins take matters into their own hands and devise a plan to stop the demolition. Unique and colourful animation punctuate a lighthearted and relatable story about unwelcome “urban development” and the power of community.
