
The French/Belgian co-production, Ernest and Celestine was the big winner at the
Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth, receiving three of the top awards
announced on the Closing Night, Thursday, April 18 at the Vancity Theatre.
The animated feature tied for the Youth Jury Award for Best Picture (ages 9+), won
the Adult Jury Award for Best Picture, and also won the Edith Lando Peace Prize, a
$ 500 cash award for “the film that best utilizes the power of cinema to further the goal
of social justice and peace on earth.”
